The Visa is a compulsory document for all entry and exit from a territory. Procedures, documents, prices, validity and exemptions will be presented to facilitate and make clear for you to obtain visa for Vietnam and Cambodia.
The Cambodia Vietnam Visa when traveling to these countries
There are three ways to get your visa.
The first is to go to the embassy of the country to be visited. It is the most classic but forces the person to move. It’s simple when you live in the city where the embassy is located; it’s a little less if you’re not there.
The second is more practical and is increasingly chosen for its simplicity: the e-visa. Everything is done online, via the internet, and a print file is obtained relatively quickly which will be used as a visa once you arrive at the airport.
The third solution is intermediate between the two possibilities mentioned above: it consists of applying for a visa on arrival online and making the payment only when you are at the airport.
Obtain the Visa to go to Cambodia from Vietnam
a) Visit Cambodian Embassy
The Cambodian Embassy is located in Hanoi, at the following address: Cambodian Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam
(71A, Tran Hung Dao str, Hanoi, Vietnam)
The place is fairly basic, but the staff is English and French, within the limits of a simple conversation about the visa. They will ask to perform the standard procedures: bring the necessary documents; a sum of money, most often in cash; a form to fill in which it will be necessary, among other things, to indicate the reason for coming to Cambodia (in this case, indicate ‘Tourism’).
The documents to bring to get the Cambodia visa from Vietnam are as follows:
Your original passport with a validity of at least six before the tourist stay period; and having a minimum empty page for the visa
Once being there, you must fill out a form available at the entrance or on request, in which you must indicate, in addition to your name and surname, an address in Cambodia. In this case, enter the address of a Cambodian hotel where you will be staying.
You will then have to go to the counter, present these documents and pay the visa fee, which is US $ 25. You can then recover the Cambodia visa from Vietnam the next day. If you do this early in the morning, you can pick up your passport with visa in the afternoon, for a slightly higher fee, that is to say 30 US $. The visa is valid for 30 days.

b) The visa on arrival (VOA)
The visa on arrival is the most used method because it is enough to make the request online by e-mail to our team when booking tours with us: email@example.com
Once the procedure is set, you will be asked to print an invitation letter to present when you are at the airport. At the immigration desk, you will need to present this document, along with your passport, and pay US $ 30. The visa on arrival is valid at all airports in the country and at all land border crossings. This is the most used method.
c) The e-visa
The e-visa is a simpler solution than the other two but is only valid at the international airports of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Everything is done online via the following website https://www.evisa.gov.kh/
You will have to pay online and therefore have a bank card on hand. Once the procedure is completed, a PDF file of the visa will be sent to you (within three days), which you will have to present at the airport either in printed form or in your smartphone or tablet that you will show to the customs officer.
Obtain the Visa to go to Vietnam from Cambodia
The procedure is the same. This is a constant for any Cambodia Vietnam visa.
a) Obtain at The Vietnamese Embassy
The Vietnamese Embassy is located in Phnom Penh at the following address: 436 boulevard Preah Monivong, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
You must have the following documents:
The original passport valid six months before the period of your stay in Vietnam, with at least one blank page
Aa passport size photo (4 × 6)
Again, you must indicate as the reason for your trip “tourism” and indicate the address of one of the hotels where you will stay.
The procedure can be longer (24 to 48 hours) for a Vietnam visa in Cambodia but if you pay a visa fee of 60 US $, for a single entry visa valid for 30 days (Vietnam Visa in Cambodia most current), you can get your visa the same day.
For some nationalities (Russian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, British, French, German, Spanish, Israeli and to ASEAN Secretariat officials), there is no Vietnam visa in Cambodia nor fees to pay if your stay in Vietnam does not exceed 15 days.
b) The visa on arrival (VOA)
The visa on arrival is very simple, and takes only 3 hours at maximum. You have to go to an agency to get the Vietnam visa in Cambodia.
Once the procedure is completed, you will need to have the invitation letter which includes the Vietnam visa in Cambodia to print or save in your mobile phone, and show it at the counter at the airport or at the border land post with your passport. If you stay more than 15 days, a visa fee of 30 US $ will be required. This visa is valid for 30 days.
Note that travel agencies and guest houses can do this for you and will send you the invitation letter to your e-mail address, regardless of the Cambodia / Vietnam visa requested.
c) The e-visa
As for the e-visa, it’s even simpler, provided with a bank card for payment. You can do this at the following address:
The procedure is the same for a fee of 25 US $.
>>> If you find this procedure complicated, it is easier for you to book a combined Vietnam Cambodia with Indochina Trends tour which will take care of visa formalities at an affordable price.

Visa to Vietnam
The documents are always the same, for Cambodia Vietnam visa, namely your passport, a photo, a sum of 25 € if you stay more than 15 days. The Visa is valid for 30 days.
This remains the same price as seen in the Vietnam visa to Cambodia part if you apply online for an e-visa: count 25 €.
Otherwise, you still have the option to apply for a visa on arrival where an invitation letter will be sent to your email address. This is the most used and practical case, especially if you go through a travel agency which will send you the invitation letter after having done all the necessary procedures for you. You directly pay the visa and service fees directly and only with the agency.
Visa to Cambodia
Cambodia does not offer a visa waiver, so the same steps as above will be required. Visa fees are € 35 (€ 30 for visa and € 5 for processing).

If you are going to Vietnam
Vietnam is an S-shaped country that looks like a dragon taking flight. It is not without reason that UNESCO has awarded its seal of human heritage the site of Halong Bay, in the north of the country, with these 2,000 islands and islets before so many legends and beaches.
But to access it, you must go through Hanoi, the capital of the country and you will certainly not fail to visit the Temple of Literature and taste the famous phở.
From Hanoi, you can go by train to Sapa, discover a dream setting of the stepped rice fields which is the charm and pride of the northern ethnic groups, always welcoming for homestays or photogenic trekking tours.
The center is splendid with Hue and its imperial city, which keeps the nostalgia of an eternal empire. And Hoi An who remains the an ancient city.
This would not be completed without counting with Saigon, today called Ho Chi Minh City, the economic capital of the South and the Mekong Delta with its floating markets and its sampans, as well as the paradisiacal beaches of Phu Quoc Island.
