Day 01: Luang Prabang – Arrival
On arrival Luang Prabang – the former capital of Laos, warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel to check-in. The rest of the day is free time to relax and explore to get to know the city. In the evening, stroll around the old quarter of Sivavangvong, discover its typical night bazaar, or purchase textile of local minorities. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 02: Luang Prabang - city tour
Wake up early, walk or cycle around the city to admire the Laotians making offerings to the monks on the roadside. Return to the hotel for breakfast then departure for a tour of Luang Prabang city with its remarkable cultural-historical monuments:

Wat Sene – the oldest temple in the city
Wat Aham – one of the main sanctuaries of the city dedicated to the ancestors of Laos
Wat Visoun with its impressive Sinhalese style stupa
– The magnificent temple of Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping down to the ground
Royal Palace where the personal belongings of the royal family are displayed Late afternoon, ascent to Mount Phousi to get panoramic view of the town nestled between the mountains. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 03: Luang Prabang & its surroundings
Morning visit to Phosi market then take a boat trip upstream the Mekong River. At the confluence of the Nam Ou River and the Mekong River, visit the sacred Pak Ou Cave, home to hundreds of Buddha statues.

Afternoon, excursion to the Kuang Si Falls nestled in lush vegetation. Take a short walk through the forest to the waterfall and have an opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the clear pools below the falls and visit the Bear Sanctuary. Return to Luang Prabang, stop along the way to visit the villages of local minorities. End of the day, enjoy the sunset from Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 04: Luang Prabang - Xieng Khouang
Morning transfer to Xieng Khouang located in the center of Laos. This land, populated mainly by Thai and H’mong ethnic groups, was almost completely destroyed during the American bombing in the 1970s. The route crosses beautiful mountain landscapes and charming villages of ethnic minorities. Several stops along the way are planned to take pictures.

Arrival at Xieng Khouang, check in your hotel. Depending on the weather, it is possible to visit the ancient city Muang Khoun: Hmong and Tai Dam ethnic village and its surroundings. Overnight at hotel in Xieng Khouang.
Day 5: Xieng Khouang - Vang Vieng
Morning devoted to discover the enigmatic plain of jars. Situated on a plateau at an altitude of 1000 meters, the plain of jars is an impressive area of ​​fields covered by hundreds of mysterious stone jars. Dating back more than 2,000 years, their origin and function are still unknown despite several years of research.

Then transfer to Vang Vieng – a small town on the banks of the Nam Song River, in an idyllic setting. Vang Vieng is a riverine jewel with a backdrop of soaring limestone karsts. Stop on the way to the villages and markets of local minorities. Arrival at Vang Vieng in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Vang Vieng.
Day 06: Vang Vieng - Vientiane
Walking tour to discover the ethnic villages and rice fields around Vang Vieng. Kayak on the Nam Song River, stop at the limestone caves on the shores. Then visit a farm specializing in organic plantations, discover the traditional techniques of planting blackberries, green tea and fruit trees. Afternoon, drive to Vientiane – capital of Laos. Overnight at hotel in Vientiane.
Day 07: Vientiane - city tour
Day dedicated to discover the most important cultural sites and historical monuments of Vientiane:
That Luang stupa – symbol of Buddhism and the sovereignty of Laos, one of the most sacred monuments throughout the country
Ho Phrakeo – the ancient royal temple dating back to the time of the kingdom of Lane Xang, now converted into a national museum of sacred art
Wat Si Saket- the oldest temple in the city housing more than ten thousand Buddha statues
– The imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph Overnight at hotel in Vientiane.
Day 08: Vientiane - Pakse
Transfer to airport for morning flight to Pakse, the capital city of southern Laos. Warmly welcomed by our local guide then transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free time for your relaxation or free discovery of the city. Overnight at hotel in Pakse.
Day 09: Pakse - Bolaven
Departure in the morning to Boloven plateau – home of tea, coffee and spectacular waterfalls. On arrival, hiking through green plantations of tea and coffee, stop at the villages of the local minorities whose ethnic group of Lavens, which gives the name to this plateau. Discover the techniques of planting and processing of tea and local coffee.

Continue your visit to the picturesque falls of Tad Fane and Tad Pha Suam… Possibility of taking a refreshing swim or climbing to its peaks where offers a magnificent view of surroundings. Overnight at hotel in Tadlo.
Day 10: Bolaven - Ban Khiet Ngong
Transfer to Champassak province, visit upon arrival:
– The ruins of the pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Phou nestled at the foot of the mountain of Phou Kao. Known as an important historical site of Indochina, Wat Phou represents the origins of the Khmer civilization before the appearance of Angkor.
– The Champassak Historical Heritage Museum with some ancient artifacts. Continue your excursion to the village of elephants of Ban Khiet Ngong. Overnight in an eco lodge.
Day 11: Ban Khiet Ngong, elephant ride - Khong Island
After breakfast, take an elephant ride through the rain forest and the marshy area around Ban Khiet Ngong. Then transfer to Khong Island – the largest island of Si Phan Don – the 4,000 islands. Embark on a small tour to the island to discover of the daily life of the locals. Overnight in Khong Island.
Day 12: Si Phan Don – explore the 4000 islands
Day dedicated to uncover the beauty of Si Phan Don region – a semi-aquatic world in the extreme south of Laos, where the Mekong divides into a multitude of arms forming a myriad of islands and islets.

Take a boat trip through several verdant islands and islets to soak up the daily life of the delta. Stop at the Don Khon, Don Det and Don Som Islands. Meeting with extremely hospitable inhabitants, who live by the cultivation of rice, coconut, fishing and weaving of silk. Depending on the weather, it is possible to observe Irrawaddy dolphins – freshwater dolphins that are still present downstream of the Mekong River. Overnight in Khong Island.
Day 13: Khong Island - Phapheng Falls - Pakse
Drift down the Mekong River to near the Cambodian border to visit the impressive Khone Phapheng Falls – the most beautiful waterfall along the 4,350 km journey of the Mekong River from the Tibetan Plateau to the China Sea. Return to Pakse in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Pakse - Departure
Free time for relaxation or your last purchases until transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
